Terms of use

Effective 11 September 2026 · Applies to Calcora for iOS and Android

What you can expect from Calcora, and what it expects of you.

The short version. Calcora is a calculator. Use it freely, but check anything that matters — it is a tool for working figures out, not advice about what to do with them.

These terms

By using Calcora you agree to what follows. If you do not, the remedy is to stop using it and delete it; there is no account to close.

What Calcora is

A calculator and a set of calculators, with a tape, templates, variables and converters. It runs on your device and is yours to use for anything you like, personal or commercial.

What Calcora is not

This is the part worth reading properly.

Calcora gives you arithmetic. It does not give you financial, tax, legal, medical, engineering or construction advice, and its answers are not a substitute for a professional who is accountable for yours. A loan calculator does not know your lender's terms. A BMI figure is not a diagnosis. A materials estimate is not a structural assessment, and a beam that holds is not the output of a phone.

Check anything consequential before acting on it. The arithmetic is done in exact decimal rather than floating point precisely because we take it seriously — but a correct calculation of the wrong thing is still the wrong answer, and only you know which thing you meant.

Exchange rates and time zones

Exchange rates come from a third-party service and are a snapshot from when you last fetched them. Calcora shows you how old they are and says so when they go stale. They are indicative: they are not the rate you will be given by a bank, a card or a bureau, and they should not be used to settle anything. Time zone and daylight-saving information comes from your operating system's own database and is as current as your device is.

Your data is yours

Everything you create in Calcora stays on your device. We have no copy, which also means we cannot recover it for you — if you delete the app, reset your device or lose it, the data goes with it. Keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Availability

Calcora is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law where you live allows. We do not promise it is free of defects, nor that any particular feature will still be there in a later version. We do promise not to remove something quietly and pretend it was never there.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of Calcora — including any decision taken on the strength of a figure it produced. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and in some places that includes a good deal; those protections stand whatever this section says.

The app itself

Calcora, its name, its icon and its code belong to Pingee Nexgen. You may use the app; you may not sell it, rebrand it, or pull it apart to ship something else. Anything you calculate with it is yours and we claim nothing in it.

Subscriptions, and what they buy

Calcora is a calculator first and stays one: every calculation, every tape and all of your history are yours from the moment you install it, and the everyday calculators — percentages, tips, discounts, tax, the converters — have no limit on them and never will. The specialist ones are open a set number of times on the free tier.

A subscription removes those limits, adds the Signature themes, and takes the advertising away. It is offered monthly, yearly, or as a single payment that does not renew.

Billing is the store's, not ours. Payment is taken by Apple or Google, a subscription renews through your account with them, and it is cancelled there — we cannot cancel it for you. A renewing subscription continues until you stop it, and cancelling leaves you with what you paid for until the period ends.

If what a subscription includes ever changes, these terms will say so before that version ships.

Changes to these terms

They may change as the app does. The effective date above tells you which version you are reading, and material changes will be pointed out rather than slipped in.
